IntraSpek provides senior level expertise to implement new solutions or provide ongoing maintenance for Huron Click™ Portal and other research management systems. We understand balancing the needs of business with system customization and maintenance, while adjusting to evolving regulatory requirements and adhering to project budgets.
Knowledge of the eResearch business environment and workflow
Each member of IntraSpek’s team has a minimum of 8 years of experience with the Huron Click™ portal with some members having 14 years. All of our consultants are full life cycle developers that can implement a project from start to finish. This means collecting and documenting initial requirements, designing a solution, conducting the heads down coding, leading the testing and bug fix effort and finally releasing to the production environment.
Software Engineering and Design Qualifications
The most efficient way of implementing Click™ Portal solutions is to utilize the out of box toolsets provided with the product. IntraSpek has extensive experience with configuring custom sites using the Click Portal tools: UI, Site Designer, Entity Manager, and Process Studio. Process Studio is dependent upon Microsoft Team Foundation Server to provide source control for all project objects. IntraSpek has helped design some of the most powerful portals in the commercial REB sector.
Huron Click™ Portal Development Process
IntraSpek fully understands the importance of following a structured development process/methodology. The challenge is applying the appropriate amount of rigor to a development effort. Given the requirements of this effort, IntraSpek believes the agile software development methodology is most appropriate. This approach relies on frequent collaboration, quick turn-around development cycles, and testing often. We will apply our proven agile software development methodologies to this project.
Every software application release that goes to production must be fully tested and approved by users who are not the developers. It is also important that the development, test and production environments live on separate and independent servers.
